So I was helping out at the theatre tonight, and got called upon to help a few of the teenagers with their English essays. We chatted for a few minutes and I mentioned that I'm all up on the slashing of excessive words because I'm in the middle of writing and editing a novel. They wanted to know what it was about, so I gave them my 30-second pitch for "Happily Ever After."
They loved the idea! All three of them want to read it and sounded genuinely excited. Hooray! My target audience would actually pick the book up and consider reading/buying it!
Now, off to edit! Well... sleep, go to work, finish the ending, then edit. But still.
